HOW TO SEE A MIRACLE

By Tony Clayton, 29 September 2005

Why do we have trouble? Because we have not seen a miracle.

In order to see a miracle, you need to perform an act of faith. See the acts of faith which the disciples performed. Either they laid their hands on the sick, or they lifted up the sick person on faith, and then the miracle happened.

Get in the Spirit by reading out loud the following Scriptures. Repeat the underlined portions twice, and the bold portions a third time. The Lord will show you a key to unlock a miracle. This may be specific words you need to repeat, and an act of faith. An act of faith could be something which you do with your hands, or body, or something you do with certain objects. Paul used handkerchiefs.

We must command the sickness or rebuke the trouble and it will go. Focus on the act of faith and then do it.

John 2:23 Now when he was in Jerusalem at the passover, in the feast day, many believed in his name, when they saw the miracles which he did.

John 3:2 The same came to Jesus by night, and said unto him, Rabbi, we know that thou art a teacher come from God: for no man can do these miracles that thou doest, except God be with him.

John 6:2 And a great multitude followed him, because they saw his miracles which he did on them that were diseased.

John 6:14 Then those men, when they had seen the miracle that Jesus did, said, This is of a truth that prophet that should come into the world.

John 7:31 And many of the people believed on him, and said, When Christ cometh, will he do more miracles than these which this man hath done?

John 9:16 Therefore said some of the Pharisees, This man is not of God, because he keepeth not the sabbath day. Others said, How can a man that is a sinner do such miracles? And there was a division among them.

John 11:47 Then gathered the chief priests and the Pharisees a council, and said, What do we? for this man doeth many miracles.

John 12:37 But though he had done so many miracles before them, yet they believed not on him:

Acts 2:22 Ye men of Israel, hear these words; Jesus of Nazareth, a man approved of God among you by miracles and wonders and signs, which God did by him in the midst of you, as ye yourselves also know:

Acts 8:13 Then Simon himself believed also: and when he was baptized, he continued with Philip, and wondered, beholding the miracles and signs which were done.

Acts 15:12 Then all the multitude kept silence, and gave audience to Barnabas and Paul, declaring what miracles and wonders God had wrought among the Gentiles by them.

Acts 19:11 And God wrought special miracles by the hands of Paul:

1 Corinthians 12:9 To another faith by the same Spirit; to another the gifts of healing by the same Spirit; 10 To another the working of miracles; to another prophecy; to another discerning of spirits; to another divers kinds of tongues; to another the interpretation of tongues:

1 Corinthians 12:28 And God hath set some in the church, first apostles, secondarily prophets, thirdly teachers, after that miracles, then gifts of healings, helps, governments, diversities of tongues.

2 Corinthians 12:12 Truly the signs of an apostle were wrought among you in all patience, in signs, and wonders, and mighty deeds.

Galatians 3:5 He therefore that ministereth to you the Spirit, and worketh miracles among you, doeth he it by the works of the law, or by the hearing of faith?

Hebrews 2:4 God also bearing them witness, both with signs and wonders, and with divers miracles, and gifts of the Holy Ghost, according to his own will?

Luke 6:17 And he came down with them, and stood in the plain, and the company of his disciples, and a great multitude of people out of all Judaea and Jerusalem, and from the sea coast of Tyre and Sidon, which came to hear him, and to be healed of their diseases; 18 And they that were vexed with unclean spirits: and they were healed. 19 And the whole multitude sought to touch him: for there went virtue out of him, and healed them all.

Acts 13:2 As they ministered to the Lord, and fasted, the Holy Ghost said, Separate me Barnabas and Saul for the work whereunto I have called them.

Acts 14:3 Long time therefore abode they speaking boldly in the Lord, which gave testimony unto the word of his grace, and granted signs and wonders to be done by their hands.

Romans 15:19 Through mighty signs and wonders, by the power of the Spirit of God; so that from Jerusalem, and round about unto Illyricum, I have fully preached the gospel of Christ.

John 5:4 For an angel went down at a certain season into the pool, and troubled the water: whosoever then first after the troubling of the water stepped in was made whole of whatsoever disease he had.

John 11:4 When Jesus heard that, he said, This sickness is not unto death, but for the glory of God, that the Son of God might be glorified thereby.

Acts 10:38 How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and with power: who went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed of the devil; for God was with him.

Matthew 8:16 When the even was come, they brought unto him many that were possessed with devils: and he cast out the spirits with his word, and healed all that were sick: 17 That it might be fulfilled which was spoken by Esaias the prophet, saying, Himself took our infirmities, and bare our sicknesses.

Matthew 15:30 And great multitudes came unto him, having with them those that were lame, blind, dumb, maimed, and many others, and cast them down at Jesus' feet; and he healed them: 31 Insomuch that the multitude wondered, when they saw the dumb to speak, the maimed to be whole, the lame to walk, and the blind to see: and they glorified the God of Israel.

Matthew 19:2 And great multitudes followed him; and he healed them there.

Matthew 21:14 And the blind and the lame came to him in the temple; and he healed them.

1 Peter 2:24 Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed.

Miracles are the foundation of the gospel. Many people say they don’t need to have a miracle, or that God no longer does miracles. Do they know that God is a supernatural God? Are they saying God is not God? Miracles are his glory. Many will say, God works naturally, and that God heals the heart, and on and on. Why remove the manifestation and say that God heals only what we cannot see or feel? That is not what the Scripture says. In Bible days the people SAW with their own eyes and experienced the wonderful works of God. Some people say Jesus came to give inner healing. That is ok. Still there is an incredible CHARGE on the inside! What happens I cannot tell, but when you are born again you feel completely changed. Some insist that God works naturally. Stop making excuses. GOD ONLY WORKS SUPERNATURALLY! This is the only way he acts upon us! He is Eternal! What do they mean? Do they not believe that God works? Do they not want a miracle? Do they insist that God heals the inner soul, even though he does not heal the outside, and we are surrounded with troubles? This is satan. It is a lie of the devil. When God moves, there is always a manifestation. Jesus’ success in a town was measured by how many miracles he did. Look at Mark 6:5 And he could there do no mighty work, save that he laid his hands upon a few sick folk, and healed them.

Many people will be angry at me for what I have just said. This is to be expected, since it is the very thing binding you where you are. To confirm it, I have listed all the Scriptures which prove that while he preached, Jesus did miracles! Paul also! How many dead preachers are there today, who say that God no longer does miracles? Do some people say, I prefer Stephen, he was a faithful martyr completely powerless as a lamb. Look again folks, even Stephen was accredited by the many miracles he did. God = miracles. There is no other substitute to this equation.

I was shocked when I studied the Bible closely and I saw that ALL of what Jesus did was miracles! I saw that salvation and healing of the body went hand in hand in the Bible, absolutely! Healing and Righteousness – shocking! Especially read Luke 5:24,25 and Hebrews 9:27,28 and James 5:16 and 1 Peter 2:24. Why didn’t they tell us all this in theological seminary? Is the seminary really based on the Bible? You don’t see salvation without healing. Look up the Scriptures! I will prove it. This is truly shocking for a non-believer in miracles. One Scripture says that Jesus did “so many miracles”. Others around him which did not even belong to his “team” also caught on, and Jesus’ disciples attempted to forbid them from casting out devils in Jesus’ name! That was the core of Jesus’ ministry, and his followers. Get back to the Bible! Have a look at the real Jesus! Do you say, “Jesus can do anything, and I agree that he is the healer” are you separating Jesus from us, as though we cannot heal too? Didn’t Jesus require the Holy Spirit to heal the sick? The same Holy Spirit that comes to us? Do you say, “I have never heard that before” Well, why did he only do miracles once the Holy Spirit came on him? Or do you say, Jesus is God, he can do anything. Yes, but that smells a bit like an antichrist spirit – Jesus Christ DID come in the flesh! He is just like you and me!

MOREOVER, isn’t Jesus Christ still here now? Didn’t he rise from the dead, and miraculously appear and disappear? Didn’t he say, Lo, I am with you alway, on his way up to heaven? Even unto the end of the world? Therefore, will he not heal now? Will he not do a miracle in our midst - again? Could he now stop doing “so many miracles” today? God is love. He says that he never changes, when we need him more that ever - WILL HE EVER CHANGE HIS METHOD OF MINISTRY? Never.

I was so shocked and many other people with dead religion will be shocked because they presently see Jesus as someone who moves along, softly, with a few soft teachings as shown in the movies. The world wants Christ without power. NO! Acts 1:3 says “To whom also he showed himself alive after his passion by many infallible proofs, being seen of them forty days, and speaking of the things pertaining to the kingdom of God:” What do you think he means by INFALLIBLE PROOFS? This was an outside visible proof in line with the “many miracles” which Jesus did before his death and resurrection, as he appeared and disappeared in his resurrected body. Obviously, the movies missed out that bit on purpose to please the world. Let me tell you the movies do not show the real Christ, and many artists and authors and so called “bible scholars” who paint the follower of Jesus as a powerless individual have got the wrong person.

If miracles are not happening it is not of God. Don’t waste your time, week after week in a cemetery listening to a corpse. Do we follow a theological seminary or the Bible? Nowhere in the Bible are miracles removed. Everyone God used in the Bible worked miracles or experienced miracles. I am not saying that troubles will not come, but I am saying that troubles will not stay when miracles come our way. If you do not experience miracles, then it is time to do some soul-searching.

Kindly allow me to blow apart your false theology of Jesus Christ as I expand the Scriptures in my new manual HOW TO SEE A MIRACLE. Visit the webpage today www.CharlesFinney.com

1 Peter 2:9 But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should show forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light:

2 Peter 2:4 For if God spared not the angels that sinned, but cast them down to hell, and delivered them into chains of darkness, to be reserved unto judgment;

2 Peter 2:17 These are wells without water, clouds that are carried with a tempest; to whom the mist of darkness is reserved for ever.

1 John 1:5 This then is the message which we have heard of him, and declare unto you, that God is light, and in him is no darkness at all.

1 John 1:6 If we say that we have fellowship with him, and walk in darkness, we lie, and do not the truth:

1 John 2:8 Again, a new commandment I write unto you, which thing is true in him and in you: because the darkness is past, and the true light now shineth.

1 John 2:9 He that saith he is in the light, and hateth his brother, is in darkness even until now.

1 John 2:11 But he that hateth his brother is in darkness, and walketh in darkness, and knoweth not whither he goeth, because that darkness hath blinded his eyes.

Jude 1:6 And the angels which kept not their first estate, but left their own habitation, he hath reserved in everlasting chains under darkness unto the judgment of the great day.

Revelation 16:10 And the fifth angel poured out his vial upon the seat of the beast; and his kingdom was full of darkness; and they gnawed their tongues for pain,

THE LAST TRUMP – HOW TO RAISE THE DEAD

Matthew 9:18 While he spake these things unto them, behold, there came a certain ruler, and worshipped him, saying, My daughter is even now dead: but come and lay thy hand upon her, and she shall live.

Matthew 27:52 And the graves were opened; and many bodies of the saints which slept arose, 53 And came out of the graves after his resurrection, and went into the holy city, and appeared unto many.

Mark 12:27 He is not the God of the dead, but the God of the living: ye therefore do greatly err.

John 4:50 Jesus saith unto him, Go thy way; thy son liveth. And the man believed the word that Jesus had spoken unto him, and he went his way.

John 4:51 And as he was now going down, his servants met him, and told him, saying, Thy son liveth.

John 4:53 So the father knew that it was at the same hour, in the which Jesus said unto him, Thy son liveth: and himself believed, and his whole house.

John 5:28 Marvel not at this: for the hour is coming, in the which all that are in the graves shall hear his voice, 29 And shall come forth; they that have done good, unto the resurrection of life; and they that have done evil, unto the resurrection of damnation.

John 6:50 This is the bread which cometh down from heaven, that a man may eat thereof, and not die.

John 6:51 I am the living bread which came down from heaven: if any man eat of this bread, he shall live for ever: and the bread that I will give is my flesh, which I will give for the life of the world.

John 6:58 This is that bread which came down from heaven: not as your fathers did eat manna, and are dead: he that eateth of this bread shall live for ever.

John 11:25 Jesus said unto her, I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live:

John 11:26 And whosoever liveth and believeth in me shall never die. Believest thou this?

1 Corinthians 15:51 Behold, I show you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed, 52 In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.

PROPHET’S COMMENT: Something marvellous happened during the times of the Apostle Paul. Paul talks about the church being translated. The church was changed and transformed as said in 1 Corinthians 15:51 above. Paul is talking about them. He said “we shall not all sleep”. We know the prophecy of Joel was fulfilled when the Holy Ghost came "The sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, before that great and notable day of the Lord come:"

PROPHET’S COMMENT: Some of the church was alive at the time when this marvellous event happened. They were taken with Jesus. This last trump does not mean the time when the world gets destroyed. Many people are waiting for the last trump. But, does this mean there was no trump for those Paul was talking to? When he says “we shall all be changed” who was he talking to? Did he say “we shall all be raised”? NO he did not. So, there were some people who were translated at the time of the Apostle Paul and at the time of Jesus when he said “This generation shall not pass, till all these things be fulfilled”. The Last Trump is when the last enemy is destroyed, that is, whenever people are transformed so that they never die again.

1 Corinthians 15:26 The last enemy that shall be destroyed is death.

PROPHET’S COMMENT: The good news is that the promise of Paul “we shall not all sleep” also applies to us! Yes it does! Some of us will never die! And those who are dead will be raised. Why did Jesus command us to “raise the dead”?

Matthew 10:8 Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out devils: freely ye have received, freely give.

PROPHET’S COMMENT: When people are freed from the devil’s power, when they cast out devils which are eternal spirits that cannot die (send us into the swine), the people are raised from the dead!

PROPHET’S COMMENT: So that they could die again? No way! Let us preach the gospel! This is the gospel! Let us not say to people, “do you know where you are going when you die?” How will Jesus be glorified in that? It is not necessary that all die, as testified

Hebrews 9:27 And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment: 28 So Christ was once offered to bear the sins of many; and unto them that look for him shall he appear the second time without sin unto salvation.

PROPHET’S COMMENT: Does it say “shall he RAISE FROM THE DEAD”? NO! it says “shall he APPEAR ... UNTO SALVATION” Some of them WILL NOT BE DEAD. Although by the Scripture “it is appointed unto men once to die”, verse 28 shows that CHRIST REVERSED THIS APPOINTMENT UNTO SALVATION it is not necessary to die, for Jesus is not glorified when someone dies!

John 11:4 When Jesus heard that, he said, This sickness is not unto death, but for the glory of God, that the Son of God might be glorified thereby.

PROPHET’S COMMENT: Remember what the Trump means! The trump is when those in the body are changed so that if dead, they live, and if alive, they will never die, but will always be with the Lord forever and will never return to this world. The question is, do you want to stay for a while, or go? DEATH IS NOT THE ONLY WAY TO HEAVEN! But, if you stay here, you can testify of the living God to the dead! You can raise the dead!

1 Thessalonians 4:16 For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: 17 Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.

PROPHET’S COMMENT: Blow the trump of God! Let me repeat, Paul here is talking in the present tense “we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds”. Not all of the church at the time of Paul is in the grave. Some of them got caught up in the cloud as Paul promised. Jesus Christ further proves that this happened during the times of the Apostle Paul because he said that this generation would not pass away until these things of the end should be fulfilled.

Matthew 24:31 And he shall send his angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.

Matthew 24:34 Verily I say unto you, This generation shall not pass, till all these things be fulfilled.

PROPHET’S COMMENT: The end I am talking of is not the times that we live in today or in the next few years. That generation is not still waiting for us, because that generation Jesus was speaking to has passed, and “these things of the end” are fulfilled. The good news is they are being fulfilled in our generation too! Jesus here is referring to something marvellous that Matthew witnesses

Matthew 27:52 And the graves were opened; and many bodies of the saints which slept arose,

Matthew 27:53 And came out of the graves after his resurrection, and went into the holy city, and appeared unto many.

PROPHET’S COMMENT: Yes, believe it, Jesus has already come for some of his own. But the good news is that he comes again in our lives to do the same thing, and swallows up death in victory. Anyone who is dead will live! and as Jesus says, anyone who is alive will never die!
